tractorFarmers know how to use propane to fuel the vehicles and heat the buildings on their farms. But a new generation of propane-powered equipment can help make a variety of farm tasks easier. Here’s a rundown from the Propane Education and Research Council (PERC).

Irrigation Engines

The newest propane irrigation engines are more efficient than their predecessors and can result in huge fuel savings over gasoline and diesel.

Grain Dryers

New models provide precise heat, for even drying and a high-quality yield.

Flame Weed Control

Propane-powered flame weed control is becoming more popular because it kills weeds without the use of harsh herbicides than can harm the environment.

Standby Generators

More and more farmers are trusting their generators to propane because unlike gasoline and diesel, propane does not degrade over time, so it’s ready to use in the event of a power outage.
