The Mosquito Magnet® is placed near mosquito breeding areas such as standing water, bushes or trees.

Run continuously, the Mosquito Magnet® spreads an invisible barrier of carbon dioxide (CO 2) – the natural compound humans exhale – across breeding areas.

By disrupting mosquito breeding cycles, the Mosquito Magnet® breaks down the biting insect population in a given area.

What is it? – The Lakes Gas LakesLink is a wireless propane tank level monitoring system consisting of two pieces, a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter connects directly to your propane tank and the receiver connects to a phone jack inside your home.

What does it do? – It allows us to ensure that you never run out of propane by constantly monitoring the propane level in your tank and alerting us when you need a delivery.

How does it work? – The LakesLink calls our local office several times a month and lets us know how much propane you have in your tank.

What do I have to do? – The only thing we ask is that if you ever notice the receiver does not show a green light, make sure it is plugged in. If it does have power and you still do not see a green light, call your local Lakes Gas office.

Will it interrupt my telephone calls? – No. The Lakes Gas LakesLink receiver knows when you’re on the phone, so it will not interrupt your call. The receiver will wait until you are not using the phone before making a call to our office.

What happens if I pick up my telephone and I hear static noises? – This simply means that you picked up the phone while the receiver was making its phone call. This does not hurt anything. Simply hang up, wait a few seconds, and then check again. The receiver spends about 12 seconds each time it calls in your tank level to us, so the chances of it interrupting you are very slim.
